Month at a Glance: July

Mason's "cheese" face
Silly sounds
 LOTS of Mason snuggles!
This boy LOVES him some ribs!
Why do boy toys come with so many parts?! Once we got it built Mason played Godzilla and stomped it all down....clearly not ready for this stage yet.
Firework fun......if Dad does it this boy wants to do it too.......exactly the way Daddy does. It seriously melts my heart! There couldn't be a better man to want to take after!

Lilah & Charlotte's birthday party
 Helping dad with chores
Lots of work on vehicles this month

Snagged our Daddy from the airport!
 Our new favorite word!

 Dinner like Dad
Blake & I embarked on a new plexus journey
 Dusted off the tennis rackets
Mason discovered cats.....He wants to put his hands on both sides of their face and pick them up.
 First fishing trip
Lots of lunch time laughs with Daddy
 Weekly playdates
A little Starbucks pick me up
Our dare devil has ZERO fear!
Mom: "Mason are you supposed to be up there?"
Mason: "No!" (his face reading but aren't you so proud that I finally got up?!)
Our best friends relocated to Stillwater so we went for a visit & I showed them & the boys around the campus. So much fun catching up, watching our boys play and love each other and getting baby snuggles!

Mason got the summer GI bug & took us ALL down!

My confident "nope I'm feeling great" before I got taken down
Splash Pad Fun

i
Mason has become completely OBSESSED with the movie Cars this summer. If I have to do something I can turn it on & he is mesmerized the entire time. All I have to say is do you want to watch Cars? And he says VROOOOMMMM!!! His love has even gone as far as sleeping with Lightening McQueen every night now.
 Bed Head Anyone?
We had a trip planned for Blake's birthday but Mason & I were both so sick. Blake was a trooper and spent the weekend being completely selfless & taking care of us. We celebrated with birthday pancakes when we were all better.

Month At a Glance: June

We started the month off with a fun present on our doorstep from Nana
 Nathan turns 3!
1st Car Show

Mason's favorite thing to do this month is sit on the front porch and read books. Old man at heart!

Nature Cat came to the Discovery Museum. Mason had the time of his life!

 Fresh shampooed carpets
Celebrating 50 years of my Grandpa's Rock Quarry. Hot+bright sun+sensory overload=the best pic we could get
 Pretending to be like Mommy
Little one has been insistent that he wear Daddy's shirts around. I swear if he could be anyone in this world it would be his Daddy.
Timeout turned into Mason's collection area. After this we took the timeout chair out and just use the tile. The teacher in me knows I need to start discipline early & timeout seems to be a very effective form of discipline for now.
Mason loves his kiddie pool and sprinkler so we expected him to love the big pool. Rather he hates it! Mr. Independent does not want to wear a life jacket, water wings, puddle jumper, sit in a raft or even be held. He wants to go in the water alone & figure it out & cannot understand why he can't. We will love the big pool one day, for our sanity we are sticking to the kiddie pool for a while.

 Blake's 2nd Father's Day
TONS of Mason snuggles! This little man has been the snuggliest little boy lately & I just love it!
Lots of play dates with friends
 Poolside watermelon
We celebrated our 2nd Anniversary with a date night to Ridge Grill while Mason played at Aunt Lisa & Uncle Josh's house.
 Bachelorette Mondays with Rachel
Mason had his first touch of a stomach bug :(
Weekly play dates with the Bristol's
Mason started practicing eating on his own with a spoon
LOTS of reading!! This boy loves loves loves to read! His favorite book right now is Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. When he sees it he runs to you saying BOOM BOOM!!!
And we ended the month saying Bye Bye to the Paci!
