Month at A Glance: April

April was a super busy month for us, it seemed to just FLY by! Here's what we have been up to.

On the actual day of Mason's first birthday Blake & I were lucky enough to both have the day off. We were also lucky enough to have Blake's family in town from Georgia for the day too.

We knew Mason would wake up super early so the night before we blew up lots of balloons & put up streamers on his door. He of course was up before the sun so Blake & I snuck into his room for a little Mama, Daddy & Mason time.

For every birthday at our house we celebrate with birthday cake pancakes. Pawpaw, Oggie & Aunt Stephanie were sweet enough to wake up extra early with our birthday boy to enjoy breakfast. We had lots of coffee, sausage & birthday pancakes.

Later that morning we had Mason's 1 year check up. Love his little heart he had 4 shots and a blood draw that day but handled it like a champ. That morning he also got his little paws on daddy's wallet. This is now a staple in his every day life. You can't pry it from his little fingers.

I unfortunately got caught up in spending time with family for the day so didn't get anymore pictures of his actual birthday. For lunch we enjoyed pizza & for dinner I made his favorite meal: spaghetti. We were so lucky to get to just spend the day as a family together and get the added blessing of having Blake's family here. My little man you just grew up so fast!!
